SCAC Renewal Reminder from CBP

SBJ : SCAC RENEWAL PERIOD BEGINS IN JUNE
Please be advised that is about that time of year (June)
again, when all
of the Standard Carrier Alpha Codes (SCAC) are up for renewal.
The NMFTA has
started sending out the renewal notices. Please let your
clients know that they
need to renew their SCAC for the year if they have not already
done so to
avoid disruptions and or having the SCAC reassigned to another
company.
The best way to for carriers to renew is through the
NMFTA website
(www.nmfta.org) using the NMFTA easypay system (Preferred). It
is fast and
some major credit cards are accepted. Alternatively the NMFTA
can be
contacted direct at 703-838-1810.
Once the carrier receive their confirmation letters, a
copy should be sent
to CBP via fax or mail. Alternatively, as copy can be sent as a
TIF or PDF file
attachment to email. Information below.
